Summer Fun Run: We're Better Together

AROUND 1,000 runners took part in the Summer Fun Run 2008 - the sixth running of the event since its new look and switch of venue to Crosby village.

OK, so the wind gave us organisers a sleepless night with the Met Office forecasting gusts of up to 70mph!

Sacred Heart students donned fancy dress for the fun run, Sophie Hulme, Rebecca Hewlett, Katie Morgan, Jess Maher, Emily Robertson, Francesca Thurston and Laura Reid

In the end, although blustery, the experts got it wrong and the event was again a wonderful occasion, no rain and even a bit of sun!

Seeing our community teaming up in such huge numbers gives everyone a buzz - proving we're better together.
