Ivan's Hooter Makes Marina Dalglish Smile
IVAN Swainbank, one of the Crosby Lions who help out each year, always brings along his gas-powered horn to start the fun run.
Twice we've invited Marina Dalglish and her husband Kenny to officially get the Summer Fun Run underway with a hearty blast on the horn.
Ivan's trusty hooter never fails to bring a smile to Marina's face. She gets quite giddy, in fact.
Last year, I sent a text message to Kenny asking if Marina was OK to start things.
The pitfalls of predictive text were highlighted when Kenny replied: "Marina would love to hoot the hoover - see you Sunday."
